Safe Sleep for Babies!

Updated: Aug 9, 2018

Babies spend 16 to 18 hours a day sleeping! So it makes sense to keep them safe while they sleep.

Babies sleep safer Alone, on their Back, in a crib.

Follow the ABC's for safer sleep for baby

Alone. It is safest for baby to sleep alone in a crib without toys, blankets, pillows or anything soft.

Back. Place baby on his or her back on a firm sleep surface such as a crib or bassinet.

Crib. A crib or bassinet is the safest place for baby to sleep. You should share your room, but not your sleep surface. A baby should never sleep on a couch.

The ABC's are a simple way to remember the safest way we know babies sleep. In the upcoming posts we will offer additional tips, soothing techniques, and much more.
