Sleeptight Hampton Roads provides portable pack-n-play cribs along with safe sleep education, to a limited number of families, each year.
We highly encourage you to attend a safe sleep class at your local health department or check with friends or family members. If you or someone you know is unable to afford a safe sleeping space, such as a crib, bassinet, or pack-n-play, call us at 757-543-9100 to find out if Sleeptight can help you.
Organizations can submit a request on behalf of a family - download the Pack-N-Play Request Application.
Your baby should sleep alone and on his or her back in the crib.
Do not place decorative pillows, quilts, comforters, blankets, sheepskins or stuffed animals in the crib while your baby is sleeping, as they may prevent proper air circulation around your baby’s face.
Use only a fitted bottom sheet that is specifically made for the crib.
DO NOT add any extra padding to the crib mattress.
When your child is able to push up on hands and knees stop use of the bassinet feature.
